This product is an OEM replacement of the plastic fitting on BMW PN 11537541992 & 11537544638. It is compatible with the N54, N53, and N52 3.0-litre engines. The BMW PN consists a 25mm (1.0") hose and a fitting. The hose runs from coolant thermostat housing to front of head. This hose's plastic fitting is a weak point in the coolant system. It cracks and leaks frequently.
It is possible to replace the fitting by one that won't crack, leak or wear out. This fitting can be used as a direct replacement of the stock plastic fitting. To do this, simply remove the end from the plastic fitting. The fitting can then be removed from head. Install the new fitting from Aluminium to the head. Slide the hose and clamp over the fitting. The fitting is made from billet Aluminium 6061 T6511.
